• Must plan, organize and control shop floor activities.
• interpret departmental requirements paying attention on department resource utilization and cost controlling to meet business goals and objectives.
•  Meet set targets on production efficiencies with regards to:
  • Quality, HFI (Held for Inspection), Spoilage, MOTIF (Manufacture on time in full), Housekeeping and HACCP.
• Maintain safety and environmental systems in line with business policies.
• Effective management of attendance register to minimize absenteeism.
• Must ensure that the plant produces at the lowest possible cost while achieving planned quantities to meet MOTIF target of 80%.
• Maintain costs within budget levels or lower.
• Meet EMU (Effective machine utilization) and OP (Overall Plant performance) targets.
• Ensure that the quality of products is within specification and works the first time and every time.
• Compliance to OHSACT by ensuring that the business is conducted in a safer environment for all, by  eliminating injury related losses.
• Drive business objectives through motivated and competent people, working together as a single unit.
• Skills development and control of human capital, by ensuring business continuity is maintained through career path, skills transfer and human development.
• Ensuring production specs and procedure are followed by operation.
• Day to day workshop duties( work order, stores and safety checks).
• Carry out maintenance om production equipment to set standards.
• Attend to breakdowns.

• NQF4 Operations Management or Equivalent and Trade Certificate.
• Minimum 5 Years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems and execution.
• Must be computer literate, Have good communication and leadership skills.
• JDE will be advantageous.
• Have people management experience.
• Have good knowledge of problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action processes.
